Care
General Maintenance: Repot roughly once a year. If rootbound, increase the pot by one size. If not, replace the top few inches of soil for new nutrients. Rotate pot every 1-2 weeks to encourage even growth on all sides.
Temperature: 15°C to 25°C is ideal.
Light: Bright indirect light is best. Direct sunlight will burn the leaves, and too little light will cause the leaves to yellow and drop.
Watering: Water once the top two inches of soil is dry, but do not overwater. Ficus love when the humidity in the air is high. Provide extra humidity by using a pebble tray or keeping in a humid area (like a bathroom or kitchen – provided it has enough light!). Water more in the growing season and less during dormancy (during the winter).
Soil: Any well-draining soil mixture.
Fertilizer: Fertilize with a diluted, water soluble fertilizer once every 2 – 3 weeks during the growing season.
