Red Fire Orach. Variety originated in Egypt. Crimson purple leaves have a spinach-like taste. Much slower to bolt to seed than spinach. Good for baby greens too. In any batch of Red Fire Orach grown from seed, a small number of green leaved plants are possible.

How to Grow
Direct sow in a sunny site every two weeks starting in late-spring through to mid-summer. Planting Depth: 6mm (1/4in). Seed Spacing: 5cm (2in). Thin to: 20cm (8in). Row Width: 60cm (24in). Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest young leaves once plant reaches 20cm (8in) in height. Pinch flower buds to encourage branching.
